@shawnsutube what outa that unit alone ? the coper aluminum coils are bringing 1.10 a lb , and the clean coper I think was like 2.80 a lb , I sold just of 1700.00 in scrap coils wed … but that one unit should have brought say 15 bucks by itself I say , just one will not make ya rich , you have to hoard the stuff up , but be warned that if you do not have the proper equipment to recover the gas , and the licenses required ,or get jail time ! the recovery vid hasn’t passed youtube inspection yet
Yea, just curious about what one by itself would bring. Im not much into scraping,I only scrap what I produce from my goings on that otherwise I would have had to pay to get rid of. Here in Indiana we dont have any laws against scraping them though,if we do then they are not enforced anyway.
Damn, you must have had a helluva load to get $1700 bucks ! Those numbers would make scraping a lot more appealing !
LOL, i love just rippin shit apart. Its wierd only about half of your video shows when played. The right half of the screen is black. I hope im not loosing another hard drive lol. Great vid!
@smkak47 I never use one , and the reason why is this , say you go to work on a heat pump , and 15 lazy techs have been there before you , the screws are all stripped out , making it a pain to even get them out , and most of the time back together , the cordless drill was one of the worst inventions of the 20 th century in my book lol
@towrecker yea i agree with ya about the lazy techs and most of these kids dont know how to set a clutch on the cordless drill or use the right bit or apply straight on pressure, and servicing anything i always break things loose with hand tools, but if yer scappin, ynot.i was just bustin man.
hey bud usually when i scrap these ill take a sawzall and cut the meatal ends off of those copper aluminum radiators. or do you do the same and just not show it in the vid. i know here in sc they pay almost 3.50 clean copper now and about a buck 50 for copper aluminum.
Hey -how much do you make scrapping one of those? I’m in GA and have a couple of old (70′s, 80′s) window units, they blow, don’t know about cool- been stored inside, but pretty nasty. 2 of them are small, 1 is a couple of hundred LB beast.
@cvegas777 well the coils are bringing just over a dollar a pound , but they will not purchase them as scrap unless you are a licensed H.V.A.C. installer , and also the gas if they have r12 is worth more than they are as scrap to the right person , not to mention this , but you have to recover it period !!
How much do you think all the scrap outta there would bring all together?
